Epson Premium Matte Posterboard (10-Pack, 24 x 36")

The idea is good but can't get consistent clean prints...

Bought 18 boxes of the 30x40 for a project. I Gave up after 25+ prints. WAY TOO HIGH of a failure rate. Love the idea of it because final prints don't need any laminating or mounting. I'm using a P9570 printer, inserting the boards was easy, so the workflow should've been nice. The 1.3mm thickness is REALLY nice and stable but doesn't matter if you have ink smeared across your prints, at $20 a pop!!! I ended up using Epson Enhanced Matte Paper without a single print failure. Then mounted the prints to .05 chipboard with 3M Super 77 spray mount and ran the mounted prints through my laminator. Worked perfect for over 50 posters!!! Just A LOT more work than directly printing on the Posterboard. So, as frustrated as i am with the Epson PosterBoard's failure to perform. The idea of offering a solution like this is GOOD for sure. I think if they went to a 1mm board this would probably solve the issues. I worked directly with Epson on this too, setting up custom paper profiles, thicknesses and Platan gap... Still no go... This of course has nothing to do with BH. They've been great to deal with through this. This is 100% an Epson issue.
