This is a larger softbox on a great deal. The prepackaged diffusion works well and I love the Octo grid. My purchase came with a missing screw so one of the arms on mine is disfunctional. It stills works but is dissapointing.
Don't open and close it.

I dislike this softbox. Once assembled it works just fine, but ever time you collapse it, it comes apart leaving you to go through the process next time. The rods just won't stay in place. If you plan to use it in a studio and never collapse it for storage, it is a nice inexpensive option. But...

With a 47" octabox I would not use a light smaller than the godox ad 400 or 2 ad200. The light loss will be 2 stops of light.
