The Merging Technologies MERGING+HAPI MKII is a Ravenna/AES67 audio interface designed to provide users with a high-channel count, I/O flexibility, and HORUS' sonically transparent audio quality, all in a compact, 1 RU form factor. HAPI MKII can serve as a primary interface for smaller systems or as the ultimate accessory for a system using HORUS and where control-room I/O is required.
HAPI MKII offers eight channels of AES/EBU I/O (on D-sub), and eight ADAT or two S/PDIF I/O (up to 192 kHz on TOSLINK). It features both primary and secondary Ethernet ports (RJ45) for Ravenna / AES67 connectivity, as well as a BNC Wordclock I/O. The SYNC I/O provides connectivity for LTC, Video Reference, and MIDI. HAPI is equipped with two universal I/O slots, which can accept a combination of mic/line modules and/or line output cards, and/or a MADI or Pro Tools module. Once HAPI isfully loaded with option cards, it is capable of achieving 88 inputs and 90 outputs at 1FS (with the two stereo headphone outs included).
- Channel-based routing. Each channel can be routed individually to make the most efficient use of resources
- Improved AoIP-streams performance and reliability for smaller channel banks (<8)
- 2 mastering-grade headphone amps with improved specifications and features: support for sample rates up to 384 kHz, DSD volume support (DSD64, DSD128, DSD256), and DSD256 support
- Powerful headphone amps suitable for ultralow to high-impedance headphones
- New front panel with improved OLED display for local control access
- Clear Plexiglas with dimming options
- ST2022-7 Support. Perfectly complementing Anubis SPS and MAD, HAPI MKII is now fully compliant with the Seamless Protection Switching strategy
- Network Switch Mode support: Remove the need for an external network switch when using another networked interface
- Additional DA Roll Off filters
- Per-channel DA Trims level and polarity support
- Precision mastering control: 0.1 dB level precision steps on DA and all trims
- Per-channel Headphones Trims level and polarity support
- Build a HAPI unit to fit your exact needs by adding from a range of analog and digital option cards.
- Put small amount of inputs and outputs in various locations, or load 16 channels of analog I/O in a single unit.
- Digital I/O conversion and routing can be managed in this compact unit.
- Using Ravenna (AES67 compatible), HAPI is able to provide flexible connectivity of every single input and output across standard networks, using off-the-shelf network equipment.
- HAPI is designed to fit into hard-to-reach places. HAPI comes with a web-browser-based control interface allowing any web-enabled device to access all the parameters of each HAPI unit over the network.
- Adding to the powerful and constantly evolving feature set of HAPI, the MKII version features two network ports for ST2022-7 compliance.
