McAfee AntiVirus for QNAP NAS Just Works!

McAfee AV for QNAP NAS is solid protection that provides a critical layer of consistent active AV protection for my QNAP TS-253D with 8 GB of ram running QTS os and soon for my new QNAP TVS-H764 with 32 GB of ram also to run on their QTS os. 1 license per NAS required. Installation is fairly easy. Configuration is also pretty straightforward. McAfee consumes roughly 2GB of my 8GB of ram memory on my TS-253D. McAfee runs in ram memory to permit rapid scanning in realtime. The tradeoff is acceptable. I can configure it in easily understandable steps to perform realtime and scheduled scans on my time-frames. I had tried to use CLAMAV. I never felt I actually got CLAMAV to perform protective actions I needed due to it's setup configuration needs. McAfee brings solid AV to QNAP NAS. Other NAS systems I've looked do not have McAfee offered as AV. QNAP did good to get McAfee to run on their QTS OS! Steven F. Sutherland
