This fog machine is the real deal. I have had others this same size, but the pump on this is Strong.

Does it set off smoke alarms?
Asked by: jackie
Like all other smoke, haze, and fog machines, the Eliminator Lighting VF1300 EP 1100W Mobile Fog Machine with Remote (B&H# ELVF1300EP) creates a fog that will rise and fill the air in a room unless it is paired with a cooling device to force the cloud to stay close to the floor. Since the particulates of the haze appear much like smoke, the sensor in any typical smoke alarm would indeed be triggered. With this or any other smoke or haze-making machine, prior to use, and especially in any business or institution, particular care should be taken to disarm any networked alarm system that may also activate automatic sprinklers and automatically notify the local fire department.
