Designed for the iPhone 15 and 16 Pro/Pro Max, the CFexpress Type B Recording Module from Angelbird / Kondor Blue is an accessory that lets you capture ProRes 4K120 video directly to a CFexpress Type B card. It features a 20 Gb/s USB-C 3.2 Gen 2x2 interface and attaches to the back of your phone or compatible case using MagSafe. If you don't have a compatible iPhone, it may be used with other devices supporting USB-C recording and offers rig mounting using a 1/4"-20 male/female ARRI-standard 3mm anti-twist pins. In addition to support for USB 3.2 Gen 2x2, the Recording Module is backward compatible with other USB standards and may be used with Thunderbolt 3 and 4 ports. However, it will operate using the USB standard supported by your device.

Designed for the iPhone 15 and 16 Pro/Pro Max, the CFexpress Type B Recording Module from Angelbird / Kondor Blue is an accessory that lets you capture ProRes 4K120 video directly to a CFexpress Type B card. It features a 20 Gb/s USB-C 3.2 Gen 2x2 interface and attaches to the back of your phone or compatible case using MagSafe. If you don't have a compatible iPhone, it may be used with other devices supporting USB-C recording and offers rig mounting using a 1/4"-20 male/female ARRI-standard 3mm anti-twist pins. In addition to support for USB 3.2 Gen 2x2, the Recording Module is backward compatible with other USB standards and may be used with Thunderbolt 3 and 4 ports. However, it will operate using the USB standard supported by your device.

Angelbird's Recording Module is resistant to extreme temperatures, shock, ESD, and overloads. To provide a more secure connection and reduce wear and tear, the Recording Module uses Solid Connect technology with a recessed internal cable connection. Included is a USB-C cable with a straight connection on one end and a right-angle connection on the other.

Please note that to receive the limited 3-year warranty, you must activate your product within 30 days of purchase on Angelbird's warranty information page. If not activated within this period, the market-specific legal guarantee period comes into effect.

    Let me start by saying this is a great addition to your mobile recording. I have been using SSD's with my Polar Pro setup on my iPhone 16 and it has been rather bulky with issues of the USBC sticking straight out of the camera. However, this comes with a few issues. 1. the cable is too short for an iPhone Pro Max. There was a review online earlier regarding this and the Kondor Blue responded with a comment that they have since updated the length of their cable. That is clearly not the case. 2. The 90degree angle for the phone is great! But... it is not compatible if you have a case on your phone. Kondor Blue does make a longer USB-C cable for an additional fee.
