Smart Star Finder
The Odyssey's Smart Star Finder technology autonomously targets selected celestial objects. Choose from the list in the Unistellar app and let the telescope point and track. There's no need for complex settings, and you can experience the breathtaking wonders of the cosmos without delay, enjoying the details of the Orion Nebula or tracking the deployment of a passing comet's tail.
Nikon Eyepiece Technology
Developed in collaboration with Nikon, the Odyssey Pro's eyepiece combines a sophisticated lens assembly with OLED micro-display technology for ultra-high contrast. This precision optical assembly enables the image to be projected to infinity, providing optimal visual comfort as well as the palpable sensation of being immersed in space. Nikon Eyepiece Technology produces a clear image with deep blacks and vibrant colors, highlighting every detail of the observation.
App Control
The Unistellar app is available for iOS and Android. Its celestial catalog database includes more than 5000 nebulae, galaxies, planets, etc., and its star catalog consists of 37 million stars. The Odyssey Pro comes with 64GB of onboard storage.
Observe Celestial Objects Near and Far
Unlike traditional telescopes that require switching eyepieces for different magnifications, Odyssey Pro lets you travel from our solar system to the farthest corners of the visible universe without ever needing to change instruments. Everything happens automatically for seamless observation. It's easy to navigate quickly between Jupiter's red spot, the distant Triangulum galaxy, and the Orion Nebula's pink tones, all while maintaining the same observation quality.
Overcoming Light Pollution
Even in very bright urban areas, Unistellar's Deep Dark Technology denoising algorithm purifies the telescope's imaging on the spot, revealing a black background as intense as the depths of space. The Ring Nebula reveals its vivid blue and red hues, while the Cigar Galaxy appears from 11.4 million light-years away, showcasing the picturesque shape and details that give it its name.
Stellar Autofocus
Stellar Autofocus, developed by Unistelllar for astronomical observation, ensures sharpness throughout the observation by refocusing whenever necessary during observation. The result is sharp, clear images and optimal observation quality all evening long.
Nikon High-Precision Optics
The Odyssey Pro employs a Nikon High-Precision Optics system with a 3.35" (85mm) primary mirror and 0.95" (24mm) secondary mirror and has a focal length of 320mm. Its 17.2 limiting magnitude means it can detect very faint deep-sky objects (most people can only see objects up to magnitude 6.0 unaided).
Power Supply and Operating Conditions
The Odyssey Pro is powered by a 3 x 18650, 3.7V USB-C rechargeable battery pack with five hours of runtime. Its operating temperature ranges from 5 to 95°F.
