This black leather Mosel Hydro Camera Strap from Oberwerth features red stitching and measures 0.4" wide by 49.2" long. Made from hydrophobized cowhide, the strap maintains its shape, even when wet. In the past, leather was protected against water with grease. In addition, chemical impregnation was applied before the first use. Hydrophobic leather, on the other hand, is treated during the tanning process so that it is naturally water resistant for longer periods of time. The technology for this has existed for several decades, but until now production was limited to material for robust boots.
