I bought one of these for my go to travel lens for my Sony a6700 the Tamron 18-200 VC Macro for three reasons: I wanted more than thin cheap plastic protecting my lens in the field, I wanted a convenient, secure and safe place to store another SD card and I wanted to have a clever way to hide an Apple Air Tag on my lens and camera. As a wildlife photographer I travel to physically rugged places and also sometimes end up in places and situations that are not secure for expensive equipment that is not easy to hide. I have insurance for my equipment but if It goes missing I would want the opportunity to track it down and retrieve it. Insurance can replace the equipment when I return home but it will not replace the images lost or provide me with a replacement. I would be left in a foreign land with no means to capture more images and no the ability to replace my equipment at any price in a timely manner. I'd be SOL and going home empty handed with nothing to show for it. I am ordering another for my Viltrox 35mm 1.8 lens as it fits that lens too and I also bought the PolarPro 114mDefender lens cover for my Sony 200-600. (also reviewed) These products work well, provide superior protection and are aid in retrieval of equipment, lost or stolen.
