Key Features
  • Micro Four Thirds System | f/1.2 to f/16
  • 90mm (35mm Equivalent)

  • Internal Focusing, MF Clutch
An ideal portrait-length lens for Micro Four Thirds shooters, the M.Zuiko Digital ED 45mm f/1.2 PRO from OM System pairs the desirable 90mm-equivalent focal length with an ultra fast f/1.2 maximum aperture. The combination of the slightly narrow field of view and bright aperture enable producing distinct shallow depth of field imagery, and also suit working in difficult lighting conditions. This lens is also characterized by its advanced 14 elements in 10 groups optical design, which incorporates low dispersion, aspherical, and high refractive index glass elements to control a variety of aberrations and distortion for great sharpness, clarity, and color fidelity. A nine-blade aperture is featured as well, to achieve a smooth bokeh quality when working with shallow depth of field techniques, and a Z Coating Nano has been applied to individual elements to limit flare and ghosting for improved contrast.

OM SYSTEM M.Zuiko Digital ED 45mm f/1.2 PRO Overview

Beyond the imaging assets, the lens' physical design is characterized by a weather-sealed construction to benefit working in harsh climates. It also features a Movie & Still Compatible (MSC) autofocus system for smooth, quiet, and fast focusing performance that is suitable to both stills and video recording. A manual focus clutch permits quick switching to MF control and a printed depth of field scale is also featured on the lens barrel for pre-focusing and hyper focal focusing techniques.

Portrait-length 45mm lens is designed for Micro Four Thirds mirrorless cameras and provides a 90mm equivalent focal length.
Notably fast f/1.2 maximum aperture supports working in difficult lighting conditions and affords extensive control over depth of field for selective focus techniques.
The complex optical design incorporates one extra-low dispersion element, four high refractive index elements, and one aspherical element, which all work in concert to control chromatic and spherical aberrations for improved clarity, reduced color fringing, and enhanced sharpness.
A Z Coating Nano has been applied to individual lens elements to noticeably reduce surface reflections and prevent lens flare and ghosting for improved contrast and color neutrality in strong lighting conditions.
An MSC autofocus system, along with an internal focusing design, provides quick, quiet, and precise focusing performance to benefit both still photo shooting and movie recording. Additionally, an MF clutch is used for fast changing to manual focus for more precise control.
Programmable L-Fn (lens function) button for easily accessible settings adjustment.
Weather-sealed construction guards the lens against dust, moisture, and freezing temperatures for working in harsh environments.
Rounded nine-blade diaphragm contributes to a pleasing bokeh quality.

This lens, although expensive, is everything I had hoped for. The focal length at 90mm FF eq is perfect for headshots. The aperture and elements produce a nice creamy bokeh right out of the camera. One of my fav lenses. And, as usual, in stock, fast delivery from B&H. Won't go anywhere else

Gorgeous Bokeh!

I'm a recent convert from Canon full frame mirrorless. This 45mm lens creates bokeh similar to the RF 85mm 1.2 DS lens, but you aren't losing 1.3 stops of light gathering. The lens is definitely tack sharp, but has extremely smooth falloff. It's pleasantly tiny compared to fill frame equivalent lenses, and is also pleasantly less expensive. I'm very pleased with this lens!
