VOX AC30C2 Custom 30W 2x12 Tube Combo Amplifier (Classic Vintage Red)
Key Features
  • 30W RMS at 16 Ohms
  • 2 x12" Celestion G12M Greenback Speakers
  • Tube-Driven Preamp and Power Amp
  • 2 x Channels with 2 x 1/4" Inputs Each
Designed for use with electric guitar, the AC30C2 Custom from VOX is a 30W RMS combo amplifier styled in a classic vintage red color scheme and sporting a 2x12" cabinet with Celestion G12M Greenback speakers. The amp boasts tube-driven preamp and power-amp stages and has two independent channels: Normal and Top Boost. The Top Boost channel offers access to an interactive EQ section—interactive in that the treble knob affects levels of bass and vice versa—while the Normal channel provides a clearer signal path. There are high and low inputs for either channel, and the Tone Cut knob across the power-amp stage provides even more control over your high end, no matter which input you choose. Also, these channels are affected by the onboard tremolo and reverb, both of which can be manipulated using a footswitch (available separately).

VOX AC30C2CVR Overview

Turn your attention to the back of the amplifier and you'll see a 1/4" effects loop, a 1/4" extension jack for powering an extra 16-ohm speaker, and a 1/4" external speaker output. Using the external speaker jack will mute signal to the internal cabinet, though in utilizing this jack you'll be able to hook up both 8- and 16-ohm cabinets, so long as you set the impedance switch accordingly. You'll also notice the footswitch input to toggle reverb and tremolo with the tap of your toes.
