Add an ultra-bright HDR display to your field production with the Atomos NEON 17" 4K HDR Monitor/Recorder & AtomX Core Power Box Kit put together by B&H. The kit includes the NEON 17" 4K HDR Monitor/Recorder, two Hypercore NEO Slim 98Wh lithium-ion Gold mount batteries, a mini dual-battery travel charger, and the AtomX Power Box dual Gold mount unit developed by Core SWX.
The NEON 17" monitor has a 1920 x 1080 native resolution that supports up to DCI 4K input, and it has an ultrabright 1000 cd/m² brightness rating and 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio. Because this monitor is so bright and requires ample power on location, the included AtomX power box provides dual Gold mount battery plates to power the monitor using the two included Hypercore NEO Slim 98Wh batteries. The batteries can be charged simultaneously in the dual charger.
This Atomos NEON 17" 4K HDR Monitor/Recorder is part of the NEON family of monitor/recorders designed as an accurate and consistent monitoring solution for the field or in an edit suite. With deep blacks, excellent contrast, a 178° viewing angle, and ProRes and DNx recording capability, this monitor allows for on-location evaluation of your image and quick duplication of footage on-site without tying up a separate recorder. This 17" monitor/recorder features a 1920 x 1080 native resolution while supporting DCI and UHD 4K, as well as 1080p/i and 720p. The monitor provides a clear image capable of supporting HDR and displaying a 10-bit image that covers 100% of the DCI P3 standard. Its 1000 cd/m² brightness and 128 zones of backlight allow the monitor to achieve a contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1.
The NEON features a Master Control Unit that runs the AtomosOS, controlling the monitor. The Master Control Unit is user-replaceable, so you can have the latest Atomos technology without having to replace the entire monitor. Remote control over your NEON is via a downloadable app and your iOS mobile device. Input your video for display via HDMI or SDI (using the included SDI expansion module) and the monitor displays your video. It can also capture ProRes and DNx to a 2.5" SSD (not included) in the Master Caddy II or to a separately available AtomX SSDmini. The monitor features loop-through and cross conversion outputs, and it supports both Rec 709 and Dolby Vision.

To power your NEON monitor on location from a battery rather than from mains power, use this AtomX Core Power Box with 6.6' XLR Cable from Atomos. Developed with Core SWX, this durable aluminum power box provides stable operation for the power-hungry NEON monitors that have a 380W output. A power on/off switch on the side allows you to cut the power to preserve the batteries when not in use.
Two Gold mount battery plates on either side of the unit require batteries with a minimum of 12A load to provide stable power for the monitor. The monitor is then powered using the included 3-pin XLR power cable. It is recommended to have battery packs that are equal in capacity and output to operate, such as two Core SWX NEO 9, NEO 150, or HelixMax Gold mount batteries.

The Hypercore NEO Slim 98Wh Lithium-Ion Battery from Core SWX is a compact 14.8V, 98Wh lithium-ion Gold mount battery that supports a constant 12A draw and peak draw of 16A. With this high output, the battery is designed for cine and broadcast applications, but, of course, it can be used for virtually all other applications as well. At only 1.5" thin and weighing just 1.4 lb, it's also highly suited for gimbal, drone, and other mobile applications. The Hypercore NEO Slim has the ergonomic design, large backlit LCD, and protective over-molded rubberized housing that Hypercore batteries have come to be known for over their past releases.
Like previous Hypercores, the battery is microprocessor-driven, ensuring safety and runtime delivery to camera viewfinders or LCDs; but, leveraging the microprocessor, the NEO Slim features an RFID transmitter on the front that lets you monitor the stored battery data via Core SWX's VoltBridgeID iOS app or an RFID reader. Furthermore, the battery has a modular design consisting of less cabling, allowing for increased quality. With the different parts installed separately and securely inside the housing, the chance of failure is reduced in case of drops, and servicing the battery becomes a simpler, more efficient process as the different parts install plug-and-play.
In addition to the large LCD, the Hypercore NEO Slim has an LED gauge on the side where the user can easily glance over at it. Other features include 2000 charge/discharge cycles, hibernation mode, and the ability to communicate to cameras as well as chargers with both one-wire and two-wire protocols. Such an advanced battery wouldn't be complete without peripheral support. The Hypercore NEO Slim provides a SmartTap D-Tap port and a USB port for powering/charging devices. The SmartTap port lets you power any 12 VDC accessory and transmit battery data if the accessory is able to communicate that information.
The Hypercore Slim is also widely compatible with many different chargers. This Gold mount version is compatible with RED, IDX, and Sony V-mount chargers, among others.
Charge your Gold mount batteries while traveling with the GPM-X2A Mini Dual Travel Battery Charger from Core SWX. Taking advantage of the same technology built into the larger fleet chargers, this compact travel charger can charge a single battery at a 3A rate or two batteries simultaneously at 1.5A. Since it sits vertically with two batteries mounted, the GPM-X2A takes up less space than traditional chargers.
