Mount-It! Electric Standing Desk Converter with 38" Desktop (White)

Excellent product ,but didn't work for us

The desk converter appears to be very well made, and the minor amount of assembly required to add the extended feet and mount the keyboard tray was no problem. The operation of the electric motor driving the lifting and lowering of the computer and keyboard worked perfectly. Unfortunately for us we intended to use this in two basic positions, raised for a standing position and lowered for a seated position. It turned out for us that the lowest possible position for the converter resulted in the monitor (an iMac) being FAR too high and gave both my wife and myself severe neck pain after more than a 1/4-hour of use. We debated seriously as to whether or not we could adjust to this higher-than-normal position for seated operation and reluctantly decided that it simply wouldn't work for us. This is NOT intended to be a denigration of the product; we simply didn't realize that the lowest position would still raise the monitor up so high as to be painful. We aren't asking to return the unit since this was our fault in not fully understanding the positioning of the monitor with regard to the specifications of the converter. I will say that this product would work very well for someone who intends to use almost exclusively as a standing desk; the adjustments available for height are quite easy to make with the push-buttons. It simply didn't work for us. Maybe we'll be able to figure out a different usage for it as a raisable desk, but not for computer usage.
