The Celestron 8" RASA OTA with Ha/Hb/O III and Light Pollution Filter Imaging Kit from B&H combines the fast f/2.0 Rowe-Ackerman Schmidt Astrograph optical tube assembly with two filters: a narrowband Hydrogen-alpha, Hydrogen-beta, and Oxygen-III filter, which blackens the background for beautiful images of wispy emission nebulae, and a light pollution filter for anyone stargazing in a populous area. The kit does not include a mount or a tripod.

Plate solving. Digital images acquired by the telescope are "plate solved" to yield the exact point in the sky where the telescope is aimed. This information is then fed to the mount control software, which is then able to point the telescope to any other celestial object with known coordinates.

Hello. Want to move up to a RASA for imaging. What would I need to use my Nikon D750 with this scope?
We do not recommend using the Nikon D750 DSLR camera with the RASA 8 as the camera body will obstruct part of the corrector plate. Sincerely, Celestron
