Pleasantly Surprised
This is a great case. I had to move the screen hinges since it wouldn't close with my monitor installed without jamming it. But I was surprised how little fabrication it actually required to fit like a glove. It's built very well, lots of attention to detail. I know this will serve me well for many many years. I LOVE the tray that slides in and out, I can use my personal laptop and close it and send it into the rack when I need to interact with my switcher and faders. Compared to my drawer case it's VERY heavy, I needed to winch it up the drop down folding door ramp into my cargo trailer by myself, but two stronger guys can get it in pretty simply. It rolls nice and has lots of handles to grab on to for stability. Pair this with a 31.5" 4k60 monitor and a quad split and you get four 1080p60 16" monitors for monitoring. The biggest unforeseen advantage to me is that it opens the option of building my desk "just right," without the need to tear it all down at the end of the job. More of my finite bandwidth during setup/teardown on events can be focused on other things. Above all I found it's been a great investment in my mental clarity on jobs. Everything I rely on is exactly where it needs to be every time.
