TC Electronic POLYTUNE 3 NOIR Overview

Compact Polyphonic Tuner with Bonafide Buffer Inside
Tune your electric guitar or bass quickly and accurately while maintaining your tone with the Polytune 3 Noir from TC Electronic, a compact tuner pedal with three diverse tuning modes: Polyphonic, Chromatic, and Strobe. With the celebrated Bonafide Buffer circuitry inside, you can preserve your tone during long cable runs or complex pedalboards.

The polyphonic tuning mode lets you tune all your strings at once. Chromatic tuning offers a rapid tuning method with up to 0.5-cent accuracy. Strobe tuning mode provides exceptional tuning accuracy, within ±0.05 cents. Polytune 3 Noir will automatically detect your playing and switch between monophonic or polyphonic tuning. You can engage internal DIP switches for activating true bypass (ideal for pure tone when using minimal pedals and short cables), buffered bypass (for long cable runs and lots of pedals), and buffered bypass with Always On mode, which constantly tracks your tuning even when unmuted. The pedal also has settings for standard tuning, various drop tunings, and several capo tunings.

Tiny Tone Guardian
Is your signal in desperate need of a strong buffer circuit to save your tonal integrity from a platoon of hungry true bypass pedals? Thanks to its built-in Bonafide Buffer, which ensures zero signal degradation and an extremely high signal-to-noise ratio, Polytune 3 Noir is the ultimate 2-for-1 pocket tool for pedalboards, keeping your tone robust and your pitch in place. Switch off the buffer, and you're instantly back in true-bypass mode.
No Rest for the Wickedly Out of Tune
When you're onstage rocking out, there's just no time to stop and tune up, even if you've gone a bit overboard with the whammy bar. With Polytune 3 Noir's always-on mode, you never have to miss a beat. Additionally, there are two very practical DIP switches mounted on the side of the pedal that make it easy to go from buffered bypass to true bypass, and from standard mode to always on.
Bright LED Display
Whether you're performing in direct sunlight, under a massive light rig, or just planning to be the first live artist on the surface of the sun, the bright display on Polytune 3 remains clear and readable. And with 109 powerful LEDs running at full blast, you won't have to search for the display—it will find you.

No instructions available for changing tuning settings

The unit was received and works properly, but I question whether it was completely new. Also, no instruction were available for changing tuning settings. I had to figure out by trial and error how to change to strobe tuning and how to verify standard E tuning. I almost returned it a non-functional.
