I just picked up a OM 5 for my son, The OM 5 needs more than one battery. Now I used to shoot Fuji and had off brand batteries swell to the point that I almost couldn’t even remove the battery. Yes these cost more but they work well and I have peace of mind.

Is it possible to use an OM SYSTEM BLS-50 Lithium-Ion Battery in an OM-D E-M5 MarkII camera?

Unfortunately, the OM SYSTEM BLS-50 Lithium-Ion Battery (7.2V, 1210mAh) is not compatible with the OM-D E-M5 Mark II. That camera can use the Watson BLN-1 Lithium-Ion Battery Pack (7.2V, 1150mAh), BH #WABLN1.

The OM SYSTEM BLS-50 Lithium-Ion Battery is the only listed OM branded battery compatible with the OM SYSTEM OM-5 Mark II Mirrorless Camera.

The Olympus BLN-1 Rechargeable Lithium-ion Battery is not compatible with the OM SYSTEM OM-5 Mirrorless Camera. This camera is only compatible with the OM SYSTEM BLS-50 Lithium-Ion Battery.
