The built-in mechanical assist gearboxes on both risers allow a single operator to safely lift and lower heavy loads using the included ratchet handle.
Most notable among the multiple built-in safety features is the auto-lock safety pin mechanism. As each riser is extended, a safety pin engages notches that run the length of each riser in small increments, preventing heavy loads from descending if the riser locks are inadvertently loosened. A 7.5' base diameter, ultra-thick risers, and robust aluminum spider casting ensure stability, even at maximum height. When working on uneven surfaces or in windy conditions, a rotating tie-down collar allows the stand to be fortified with a tie-down kit, available separately.
