Vello ShutterBoss Pro Overview

The Shutterboss Pro Wired Time Remote Switch for Cameras with Canon 3-Pin Connector from Vello offers enhanced levels of camera control settings for interval shooting, exposure duration, and time delays. It features direct access to the individual functions and can also program the number of shots taken. The large backlit LCD makes it easy to see and change all the programmed settings using only one button per function. Easily read the programmed settings in low-light conditions without accidentally changing them.

This lightweight remote uses a threaded cable so you can be up to 41" from the camera and eliminate any wireless interference for a stable connection. The Shutterboss Pro remote uses two AAA batteries (not included) and comes with a handy wrist strap.

Programmable Interval Shooting
Achieve full control over interval timing when shooting a series of photos. The Shutterboss Pro offers shutter delay, exposure duration, and interval time between shots, which makes it easy to automate shots like a blooming flower or clouds passing by in the sky.
Direct Function Access
Having an individual button for each function makes it easy to change settings, even with your eyes closed.
Large Backlit LCD Screen
All the functions of this remote are laid out on the large LCD screen. Easily see all the timer settings, number of shots, and battery power. The display is backlit for easy use in low-light situations.
Bulb Mode
The Shutterboss Pro remote can be used in Blub mode for long exposures, such as astrophotography applications. Bulb mode works with time lapse and single exposures and is as simple as sliding the shutter release lock.
Control Lock
The single-press control lock function secures programmed settings and freezes all the controls so a sequence of shots isn't interrupted.
Wired Connection
The 41" shutter release cable provides a secure wired connection that ensures stable communication in environments with high levels of wireless interference. The interchangeable cable has a threaded 2.5mm male jack and a Canon 3-Pin connector.
Battery Power
This remote doesn't drain power like wireless remotes, allowing it to be used for long periods when performing interval shooting. I operates on just two AAA batteries, available separately.

Although not initially intuitive in setting this up. I was able to finally get this thing to work. The problems were in setting the camera up properly. Now, all is good. The device itself, once set up worked perfectly with my Nikon Z6ii.

Whoever designed this really understands usability. Everything about the device is right there on the display. No menus, no hidden anything. One button per function. Power on/off is a slider on the side, not a press on/off. These are the things designers do when you want an easy-to-use device. I love the screw-in cable - it can't pull out. This timer/intervalometer/remote trigger is a breath of fresh air compared to every other intervalometer out there. There is only one feature I wish it had - 1/10th second resolution. I have a case where I want to take 2.4 second exposures in bulb mode and trigger every 3 seconds. I can't do that with this device. Note: B&H recommends the Ruggard RTC-40 tripod-mount case for Vello Shutterboss Pro but I do not. It is a ridiculously tight fit. Instead, just loop the hand strap over a hook or knob on your tripod.
