Garbage Stand This review has NOTHING to do with B&H Photo, but with the OtterBox Case (specifically the “Stand”). In my opinion B&H Photo Rocks! It’s why I keep coming back. * + * + * I have been using OtterBox Defender Cases since the first iPad Air models. I have never had any issues with them until now. If you never move your iPad (only keep it stationary), if you never hold up the iPad to show others the screen while using it, if you never travel with your iPad, etc. this may be fine for you. But, if you use your iPad with the stand as you would the previous models of OtterBox Defender Cases... this case will frustrate you to the core. Just last week while on a trip and speaking during a conference session I held up my iPad for others to see the screen (something I do often) the stand part flopped closed, then I had to fiddle with it to get it to it’s original angle before I picked it up to show others... If I were at home with no one there but myself and the dog it would not have been an issue. But, since others were involved I was trying to fix the Stand as quickly as possible and go on without loosing my train of thought and/or looking like a complete... (you can fill in the blank). To say the least I am extremely frustrated with the “Stand” of this model of OtterBox Defender Case. I called OtterBox to see if they had “fixed” this design flaw, or to see if they had a different stand that would work with this case... and I was told they have not “fixed” anything, nor was there another stand that would work. They tried to send me a new case (the exact same model) and I immediately refused. Why would I want something that causes me pure extreme frustration? Hopefully the OtterBox higher ups will come across this review and go back to the tried and true stand design that works. Or at least give their loyal customers the choice of the garbage stand or the tried and true stand. Sorry for my frustration guys. This frustration is with an OtterBox product NOT B&H Photo. Once again, B&H Photo Rocks!
