ZGCINE ZG-X160 Reviews
incompatible with Sony Burano video camera
The battery supplies the power it says it does, charges easily with any one of a few chargers I have and the extra info on the screen is great. It works fine with a Red Komodo-x, but does not work with the Sony Burano; I think the issue is that there are two microswitches at the bottom of the actual vmount, and the part of the mount on the burano that pushes down to expose the prongs is curved, wheras it is flat on the komodo. The older ZG-V160 works fine with the Burano.
Wouldn’t charge past 1%
I plugged it in to charge because it was at 0% when it came in and it wouldn’t charge past 1%. I tried multiple cables and even my MB Pro power adapter thinking it needed a powerful output to charge and nothing worked. I left it plugged in overnight and it was still at 1%. I read similar reviews on the prior model and was hoping they fixed the issue. I couldn’t get ahold of their customer service or find any troubleshooting information online. It’ll be returned and I’ll be buying something different.
