Oben TT-620B Reviews
Very well constructed!
I'm very impressed how well made these tabletop tripods are! It's all made of aluminum. When you open and close the legs, I hear and feel a very satisfying little clicking sound, which tells me it's ready to go! The bottom of the legs is made of a very rubbery long lasting rubber. It won't slide around and resist some vibration avoiding it to slide on the surface. Think of a DJ table when you place your recorder on it at a wedding with their loud subwoofers booming shaking the room... I received BOTH, the Oben TT-620B and the TT-610B Aluminum Tabletop Tripod, so I will be reviewing both in one place if you are looking to purchase one or the other, or both. Both tripod models can be adjusted to normal position, or can be flattened very close to the ground for twice the stability for items you probably didn't even think of placing on it. As an example, the larger TT-620B can hold a huge 4' Genaray PX4-RGB Pixel RGB LED Tube Light! On such small mini tripod! Simply flatten the tripod legs. On the TT-610B, (the little one) I placed a TASCAM Portacapture X6 recorder, easily and without needing to flatten the tripod using it in its normal open position. (see pictures). And of course, you can literally install anything from portable led pocket lights, to microphones and similar things. PLUS, if your creativity allows, you can also use these mini tripods as a handheld, handgrip option while walking around with your phone filming, logging, since most cell phones are equipped with excellent stabilizers, most instances, I don't even bring a gimbal. It's all about technique, so I use these like that as well with great results. These are very useful tripods, they don't take any space in your bag, VERY durable and elegant! (Product pictures I've uploaded are available to view when you are on the BH site via desktop). [I have received this product in exchange for my honest review]
AMAZING tripod...
The first thing that I noticed about this tabletop tripod is the build quality. It feels like it will last a lifetime because it's almost completely made of metal. Here are the things that really stand out to me... - aluminum build - rubber feet - light weight - the levers are made of metal too - this tripod comes with a mini ball head I think that this tripod will primarily serve to hold small lights in hard to reach places, but since its small and light weight it will definitely replaces similar tripods that are made of plastic that have broken before in my suitcases.
