The Phoenix SCION 16-Channel Summing Mixer comes from the Nicerizer family of products, offering the sound and tone of a classic large-format analog console, but in a small rackmount size. Every channel also features Phoenix Audio's new drive technology switching, so they can push each individual channel's circuitry harder for more analog color and tone with attenuated output controls for easy recall and greater accuracy.
The Scion features three distinct output options—Clean, Color, and Mix; the Clean setting provides a transformerless signal path with pristine highs and lows, while the Color output employs Phoenix's classic transformer-coupled signal path for a punchier, vintage-inspired sound, and finally, you can use the Mix mode to blend both the Clean and Color circuits. All three can be used simultaneously for recording three separate mixes.
