What is the difference between this and gold 2.0 ...

What is the difference between this and gold 2.0 ? For both Sony A1 & 7RV, which you will recommend?!
Asked by: Samantha
CFexpress 4.0, such as the ProGrade Digital 480GB CFexpress 4.0 Type A Iridium Memory Card (2-Pack), is much faster than CFexpress 2.0. The Sony a1 and a7R V can only read up to CFexpress 2.0 speeds, so you are better off buying the Gold 2.0 cards since you would not be able to take advantage of the 4.0 speeds. The advantages of buying the 4.0 cards would be faster transfers to a computer and future-proofing yourself for newer cameras that support the CFexpress 4.0 speeds.

Would using these vs.UHS-II help with heating issues on the Sony A74 due to the faster speeds of CFexpress Type A?
Asked by: Pali
Yes, the ProGrade Digital 480GB CFexpress 4.0 Type A Iridium Memory Card has faster read and write speeds than a UHS-II SDXC Memory Card, so less heat will be generated in the Sony a7 IV Mirrorless Camera.
