This Schoeps CMC641 RAD-2 Set combines a CMC6 microphone amplifier and MK 41 supercardioid microphone capsule with a Radius RAD-2 shockmount and a low-profile XLR jumper cable (10.8"). A Radius 5cm Nimbus windshield is also included. The RAD-2 shockmount provides exceptional isolation from movement, handling noise, and other vibrations associated with booming. It is ideal for outdoor booming or indoor, when using the mic by itself or with the slip-on Nimbus fur windshield on it.
The MK 41 capsule offers high directivity, at low and medium frequencies, comparable to that of a shotgun microphone. It delivers a natural sound due to its flat frequency response, which remains largely the same for all directions of pickup—particularly important for indoor recording. Preferred uses include recording dialogue for film sound, as a spot microphone in the orchestra, and on the opera stage.
The Schoeps CMC6-U is a balanced output stage and +12 to +48V phantom power supply for the Schoeps Colette series modular capsules. The transformer-less output stage ensures low-noise and pristine audio reproduction throughout. The CMC6-U is terminated with a standard balanced 3-pin XLR connection for use with standard microphone inputs and preamplifiers.
The matte gray Schoeps MK 41 is a supercardioid condenser microphone capsule designed to deliver minimal coloration and accurate capture of speech and music for sound recordists and audio engineers in film, television, and video production and studio recording sessions. The supercardioid polar pattern offers enhanced attenuation of off-axis SPL and consistent directionality throughout its 40 Hz to 20 kHz frequency range, which naturally rolls off sub-bass frequencies.
The MK 41 is compatible with Schoeps Colette microphone amplifiers and requires no tools to install. The RAD-2 Shockmount with Low-Profile 3-Pin XLR Cable by Radius is designed for use with microphones with a diameter of 0.74 to 0.98" and length of 9.8". Includes 3 pairs of interchangeable hoops—standard hardness (black colored), soft (light blue for small condenser mics), and extra firm (dark blue). An included 3-pin XLR cable connects your mic to your recording device.
This gray-flocked Hollow Foam Teardrop Popscreen from Schoeps is compatible with all Schoeps Axially addressed microphones. It is used as a shield against mild wind or moving noise on the boom and helps prevent pops when used in close-up speech. It is made of foam, and mounted on a plastic carrier that sits on your mic, allowing the foam to enclose an air volume around the microphone capsule like a windscreen basket, so that the foam does not touch the microphone, which reliably prevents any motion noise. The microphone should be pushed as far as possible into the foam for best results.
The Schoeps SG20 Microphone Stand Adapter is designed to stand mount microphones measuring 20mm or 21mm in diameter. The SG20 features a strong metal housing and a durable plastic clamp. Its base is threaded for 5/8"-27 stands, and a threaded adapter is included to accommodate 3/8" and 1/2" mounting. The angle is continuously variable.
