Can you use the hdmi output to feed a second Evolution, I have five feeds and need more that the three on one box?
Yes, you can use the HDMI output on the Evolution 1x3 HDMI over Cat 5e/6 Splitter to connect it to the HDMI input on a second Evolution. This would effectively give you twice the amount of RJ45 video outputs.

Is the IR stuff necessary? I just want to view cctv DVR over several TV's so I can just select an HDMI input and see them.
IR would only be used if you needed your wireless remote to control a TV with the Evolution 1×3 HDMI over Cat 5e/6 Splitter with HDMI Output (164'). Just extending your HDMI output to the 3 HDMI outputs of the extender splitter would work without IR setup.
