Behringer Xenyx 1003B Overview

Designed for streaming, podcasting, and recording, the Behringer XENYX 1003B is a 10-input mixer with a clear and natural sound in a compact and portable format. The mixer features five high-quality XENYX mic preamps with phantom power for working with high-end condenser microphones. Channels 1/2 offer mono line inputs and insert FX, for adding your own signal processing, while channels 3/4 to 9/10 feature stereo inputs. Additionally, there are stereo RCA inputs and outputs, and two 1/4" FX sends (Mon & Aux) as well as a 1/4" headphone output.

The XENYX 1003B is easy to set up and operate with all connections and controls easily reachable from the top of the unit. All channels feature 3-band British-style EQs and panning knobs. The 1003B is powered by an included power supply. For truly portable operation, the unit can be operated via 9V batteries to achieve great sounding mixes wherever the performance may take you.

Record Anywhere
The 1003B is great for mobile mixes or recording when powering the mixer with standard 9V batteries. The ultimate on-the-go recording setup allows you to mix up to 10 sources. The outputs deliver clear audio for monitoring via headphones or on high-quality RCA and impedance-balanced 1/4" TRS jack connectors.
Control Made Easy
Each channel on the 1003B features a dedicated 60-mm fader for precise control over that channel's level. The 3-band channel EQ allows for precise and musical sound shaping for any input signal. An integrated post-fader FX send control per channel lets you plug in any external FX processor of your choice for added flexibility. The monitor bus sums up the channel signals before fader and EQ, for creating an independent monitor mix.

This was a warranty issue. My original 1003B died, of course at least opportune time, so I plugged in my back-up 1002B and the event went just fine. I contacted Behringer and they drug their feet so I contacted B&H. Within 3 days I received an RMA had the defective mixer shipped, although I think Behringer should pay for shipping on a dead product and about a week later got my new replacement one. I still think the 1003B is a great little mixer, hence 5 Starts, but the B&H Customer Service Team thinks of the customer first and gets the job done! They get 10 Stars!
