With classic BOSS effects onboard, tap tempo, and the Blend knob for dry/wet balance, you can achieve studio-quality signal processing internally. Two 4-ohm Neutrik speakON outputs are provided for either 4-ohm (500W) or 8-ohm (250W) operation with external cabinets. A direct XLR line output sports three cab emulations, selectable ground lift, selectable post, pre, or direct signals, and automatic cab resonance calibration. And when further tone sculpting is needed, you get a variable low-cut filter (up to 200 Hz), a fixed hi-cut filter, and a even a pad button to help tame the output power in quieter environments. The Katana 500 includes a power cord.

You can also shape the overall amp response with powerful global EQs and fine-tune system settings. And by connecting an optional BOSS Bluetooth Audio MIDI Dual Adapter to the rear panel, you can wirelessly adjust settings on the gig from your iOS or Android mobile device.
