Turbosound M15B Overview

Add punchy low end to your portable or permanently installed PA system with the Turbosound MILAN M15B, a portable 15" powered subwoofer featuring two independent input channels (line), a polarity reversal switch, variable +6 bass boost (40 to 90 Hz), intelligent limiting, and XLR pass-thru outputs, which echo the input signals for connection to full-range tops or additional subwoofers.

The 2200W Class-D amplifier drives the 15" high-excursion woofer to deliver a frequency response of 45 to 100 Hz (±3 dB) and a maximum SPL of 134 dB, plenty of volume to cover 300 patrons. The M15B’s discrete inputs are each equipped with balanced combo XLR-1/4" connectors and a level control, making them ideally suited for a wide range of music sources, from low-impedance microphones, acoustic guitars, and keyboards to MP3 players and mixing consoles.

Bandpass Enclosure Design
Bandpass enclosures are extremely efficient, creating maximum bass output within a specific frequency range by increasing the acoustic load presented to the driver. The low distortion bandpass design utilized in the M15B reinforces the musical instrument bass frequencies, and steep cutoff slopes ensure an effective acoustic transition for use with MILAN Series full-range loudspeakers. A typical application could consist of an M15B providing the low-frequency bass extension for one or two MILAN Series top cabinets.
Class-D Amplifier
Thanks to revolutionary Class-D amplifier technology, the M15B is able to provide enormous power and incredible sonic performance in an easy-to-use ultraportable and lightweight package. Class-D amplification offers the ultimate in energy efficiency, eliminating the need for heavy power supplies and massive heat sinks. The lightweight switched-mode power supply, coupled with the industry-leading Klark Teknik Digital Signal Processing (DSP) module, provides dynamic equalization and sophisticated limiting functions, ensuring optimal performance and long-term reliability.
Custom-Engineered Drivers
The MILAN M15B loudspeaker features a high-excursion 15" LF driver that's designed to perform flawlessly in conjunction with every other element for truly professional results. The MILAN M15B outputs massive quantities of tight, articulate bass and works seamlessly with all MILAN Series loudspeakers.
Integrated Control Center
The onboard control panel features a subwoofer level control, a polarity switch for proper phasing with your loudspeakers, and a switchable +6 boost filter (40 to 90 Hz), which ensures correct integration with your system. Convenient XLR thru connectors send both input signals to your powered full-range loudspeakers, or to additional powered subwoofers.
Built for Durability and Versatility
The M15B's enclosure consists of solid birch plywood with a hard wearing semi-matte-black paint finish and is ribbed internally to eliminate resonances and to minimize vibration. Plated steel casters with rubber wheels are provided for easy transport, and the standard pole-mount socket allows powered loudspeakers to be mounted vertically, or raised higher and angled down to optimize audience coverage.
