The DI 10A offers the same high headroom, dynamic response, and sonic clarity you have come to expect from Klark Teknik in a single-channel DI box with a switchable input attenuator that's great for interfacing guitar-, line-, and speaker-level sources with your mixer's microphone preamp inputs, even over extended cable runs. Input connections include unbalanced 1/4" and XLR inputs, while the output connector is a standard balanced XLR. An active device, the DI 10A requires 48V phantom power or a 9V battery (available separately) for operation and is equipped with a custom-built Midas transformer to ensure outstanding audio quality.

High-Headroom Design
A custom instrumentation-grade input circuit was designed for the DI 10A using advanced analog design techniques to create the very high input impedance required by passive guitar and bass pickups, while keeping the actual component values low to minimize noise. This innovative approach to circuit design produces a very low noise floor, which, combined with the high clipping point, creates an unrivalled dynamic range in a +48V phantom-powered DI Box.
Connectivity and More
The DI 10A features genuine high-quality Neutrik XLR and high-impedance 1/4" TS connectors to maintain the highest signal integrity. The input connectors accept balanced and unbalanced signals over TRS, TS, or XLR cables, with the Thru jack passing an unbalanced 1/4" TS signal to local amps/monitors. The output XLR jack sends a balanced version of the input signal to your mixing board or other processing device.
Input Pad, Power, and Earth Lift Switches
With a highly versatile input pad, the DI 10A easily accommodates signal levels ranging from +10 to +50 dBu. The Earth Lift switch separates the input and output grounds, eliminating earth loops between equipment on different mains electricity supplies. Power is managed via a dedicated switch with an LED indicator that indicates the current operating state: battery power active = LED blinks; battery power off = LED off, and phantom power active = LED constantly on.
