ARTCISE CS25C Reviews

Pleasantly surprised at the quality

I bought this tripod sight unseen as I have never heard of the Artcise brand, but the dimensions came the closest to my needs, and I am very happy with the purchase. Having owned many tripods over the past 35+ years, I have experienced the full range from absolute junk to finely-finished equipment. In fact, this purchase was partly to assuage my regret in selling a tiny Gitzo tripod 20 years ago that is no longer available even used. I cannot be more happy with this Artcise as a replacement. The quality for the money is quite amazing. The locking adjustments of the legs has a smooth, well-engineered feel, and all of the components feature quality materials. I cannot see any cost-cutting issues with the design. As an aside, this Artcise tripod is actually rather handsome-looking. Pair this with a good head and it is perfectly capable of providing rock-solid support for a full-frame DSLR or mirrorless camera with a 100-400mm mounted, as long as the legs are spread at the wider setting to prevent tipping. I have several tripods from a more famous Chinese manufacturer (name rhymes with "Blu-Ray"), and I rate this as a slightly more satisfying product overall. Now, I have not put this Artcise through heavy use yet, so these are my initial impressions, but I am already eyeing other tripods in the Artcise catalog.
