The GALE-50 AC-Powered Studio Fan from Impact creates a wind-like effect in the studio to add movement to a subject and produce dynamic photos. Aim the fan at a subject's hair to simulate a windy beach setting or leaves blowing on a fall afternoon. A single knob operates the variable speed control to dial in the ideal airflow of up to 30 mph wind speed. The GALE 50 can be mounted onto any light stand with a 5/8" stud and tilted to achieve the ideal angle. Please note that this fan has a volume of up to 72 dB/A and is not recommended when shooting video content with live sound.

Impact GALE-50 Reviews
Great Studio Fan
Big fan of this fan! Came super quick (like next day quick) and was really easy to use and install in our studio space. Thanks BH!
A Decent Well Built But Little Underpowered Fan.
The body of the fan looks and feels well built. The shroud that attaches to the front of the fan is a little flimsy feeling, but not a big deal. Note that the receiver is plastic, but feels sturdy. The fan held well when mounted to a C-stand. The controller is lightweight and not as robust feeling as the fan itself. Note that there is no mounting hardware for the controller so unless you rig something yourself it will just hang there. Not good for the longevity of the power cord in my opinion. I was hoping for more power than what it delivers, but for the price wasn't expecting it. The fan produces a decent amount of airflow. It mimics a light-medium breeze on high power. Again, given the low cost one shouldn't expect much more. I was waffling between for and five stars. Ultimately considering the cost of the fan and that it's not marketed as having hurricane force winds I decided that it's worth the price and deserving of five stars for what seems like a well built tool.
