The Behringer DI4800A is a professional 4-in/8-out active direct box that also functions as a signal splitter and booster—packaged in a 1 RU rack-mountable chassis. Equally suited for both studio use and live applications, this versatile DI box provides impedance and signal matching for the direct connection of balanced and unbalanced line and instruments signals (from guitars, basses, keyboards, effect processors, and other line-level devices) to mixers and amplifiers. The unit uses Behringer OT-1 transformers on each output to deliver a clean signal with an ultra-flat frequency response for pristine audio.
On the front panel, each channel has its own balanced XLR output to connect individual signals to the main mixing board. On the back panel, each channel is equipped with a secondary, balanced XLR output to split and send the signal to an alternate device. With switchable +6 and +12 dB gain boosts, the DI4800A effortlessly handles low-level signals from instruments like acoustic guitars. Additionally, the -20 dB pads ensure protection against unexpected signal peaks.
