Whether you're an electric guitarist or acoustic player, the Behringer EQ700 Graphic Equalizer Pedal is a versatile and powerful tool for shaping your guitar's sound and taming unwanted feedback. Featuring a 7-band EQ with precise frequency control ranging from 100 Hz to 6.4 kHz, the EQ700 allows you to add clarity and presence to your guitar and fine-tune your tone with great accuracy. Each band provides a boost or cut of up to 15 dB, enabling you to emphasize the tonal characteristics you desire or eliminate problematic frequencies.
The EQ700's robust construction ensures durability for both studio use and live performances, while its compact design makes it easy to integrate into any pedalboard setup. The pedal is powered via either a 9V battery or the Behringer PSU-SB AC adapter (both available separately). 7 Dedicated Frequency Bands: Precise Control Over Your Sound
- 100 Hz Band (Low Bass)—Boost: Add fullness to guitars, especially clean electrics / Cut: Reduce muddy or boomy tone and control acoustic guitar feedback
- 200 Hz Band (Soft Bass)—Boost: Increase the warmth of all guitars and provide a slightly harder sound / Cut: Increase clarity and reduce feedback in acoustic guitars
- 400 Hz Band (Hard Bass)—Boost: Add definition to rhythm parts / Cut: Reduce feedback in acoustic guitars (this is a major feedback zone for piezo-equipped flattops)
- 800 Hz Band—Boost: Add an aggressive edge to the overall sound / Cut: Reduce nasal or horn-like content
- 1.6 kHz Band—Boost: Make the guitar cut through the mix and create a more distinctive plucked tone / Cut: Eliminate dullness and competition with vocals (vocal fundamentals occupy the range from about 1.0 to 2.5 kHz)
- 3.2 kHz Band—Boost: Add significant attack to all guitars and create an even more distinctive plucked tone / Cut: Eliminate harshness
