Power your camera configuration and its accessories with this compact MLmicro 14.4V 43Wh V-Mount Li-Ion Battery from bebob. The battery features a micro V-mount compatible with both micro and standard V-mount plates. A 16A maximum load allows for both hot-swap and buffer functionality. Multiple output ports on the battery—two twist D-Tap, three LEMO 2-pin, and one USB-A—work to power any cine accessories on set. A USB-C input/output port can recharge the battery or power your mobile device if needed. Thanks to its durable construction, the MLmicro can withstand falls from up to 4.9' without affecting its performance.

bebob ML micro Reviews
update to my previous review !!
Bebob reached out to me via email with a fix for my issue in which I detailed in my previous review. before I explain what they had me do to fix it, I want to say I applaud them for the response/fix. so first off, not everyones situation will be similar to mine, but this is what they had me do . 1. Unscrew the four outer 2.5 mm hex screws on the back of the ML-micro. 2. Separate the two device halves by pulling at the front and backplates. They will come apart along the LED strip without much effort. 3. After completely separating the components and waiting for about 3 seconds, you can recombine both halves. Please ensure that the golden contacts inside the lower side of one of the halves are not bent during the assembly process. (The easiest way to ensure this is to place both halves on a flat surface, using it as a guiding plane when reattaching them.) 4. After reinserting and tightening the four outer screws, you should be able to check if the device is functioning or wakes up after connecting to any charger. If this doesn't work, you can contact them, and they will provide an update link that might help.
Cool concept. Disappointing build-quality and longevity.
Unfortunately, our copy's power LED and outputs stopped working after a couple of hours on my Red Komodo X despite going through the correct order of operation as noted on the warning label. For RED cameras like the Komodo X or Raptor X, I'd recommend sticking to a traditional battery plate for its simplicity (I went with Mutiny's KX-IO which has been much more reliable) and using the DC input on the plate or the camera itself for hot-swapping if you need that feature. RED doesn't recommend hot-swapping without engaging SDI protocol anyways, so this product might be better for a Sony Burano that most of the marketing materials show it attached to. The build quality of the tab that both releases the battery and triggers the LED and IO interaction (two or three pushes) is poor as it's just a relatively thin piece of metal with color finish that doesn't release the v-mount battery smoothly at all. More Smallrig than Bright Tangerine, if you're familiar with the machining from rigging from those companies. I suspect but can't confirm that this is where the failure occurred. I'd probably recommend to the Bebob engineers to separate the release mechanism for the v-mount battery from the activation and interface for future iterations to eliminate the single point of failure in addition to improving the robustness of the physical mechanism itself. Assuming you can get a working model, I'll go into the physical qualities of this product: The material of the unit's enclosure itself feels like magnesium alloy, machine aluminum, or some other dense metal and is quite heavy. I've worked as a product developer with a third-party German manufacturer before, and this is kind of similar in that some parts are overbuilt / tanky, but the fine parts are lacking (in this case, the locking and mode-interaction tab). I would say that that's the physical downside to this product if you're using your rig on your shoulder, gimbal, or other type of situation where weight is a concern without additional vests / supports. The Mutiny KX-IO is half the weight in comparison, although without the hot-swap battery, but it feels like a world of difference on my shoulder, and I'm a relatively spry, young man with moderate muscle mass. B&H customer service was quick and professional in processing this return. Always happy to shop with them for our department needs.
