Behringer MPA100BT Overview

Great for mobile audio applications, the versatile and easy-to-use Behringer Europort MPA100BT is an all-in-one battery-powered PA system that features the ULM wireless microphone system and Bluetooth audio streaming capabilities, well suited for parties, schools, corporate and educational presentations, seminars, aerobics, auctioneers, performing musicians, tour guides, weddings, and more.

A 100W Class-D amplifier powers the 6" woofer and 3/4" tweeter, which combine for a frequency response of 65 Hz to 18 kHz with plenty of volume to cover a crowd. The rear panel features two combo XLR-1/4" mic/instrument inputs, a 3.5mm TRS aux input, and a Bluetooth audio receiver. The mixer features individual control over each input channel, while the Music/Speech switch sets the overall system EQ to dial in your best sound. The built-in 12 VDC rechargeable battery charges in 8 hours and offers up to 20 hours of use.

A clear, small system for small rooms

There was minimal documentation, but adequate. The unit is easy to set up, has two standard jack inputs, plus a bluetooth and USB input. Everything worked well, and a phone or tablet easily connected and played pleasing music at all sound levels. This is a low power unit--not for loud rock or loud speeches. The drawback was the wireless mike. Evidently Behringer saw the need to include special wireless mic instructions and even then it was finicky. After inserting the batteries in just so, you have to jiggle and invoke incantations to get it to work. I added an external wired mic to my rolling suitcase setup and now it's a reliable A/V system for small rooms or short outdoor distances. Seconds to set up, minutes to roll up the cords and put everything away. Powered and battery operation are a great feature. I read a review about flimsy construction, but this is not the case--back panel is solidly built. Good value for price.
