Palmer PELDE Overview

Developed for professional applications on stage or in the recording studio, the Palmer elde is a DI box used to pick up the raw signal from a guitar, bass, or keyboard without noise and tonal loss, even over long cable runs. Featuring a dual-channel design, elde can be used either for one stereo instrument or for two different mono instruments. The box's failure-proof, passive circuitry requires no battery.

The 1/4" inputs are each looped to a Thru Out, allowing the signal to be passed on to the guitar/bass amplifier. For those high-level signals, each channel features a pad switch (-30 dB), enabling you to insert the elde between the amplifier output and the loudspeaker without overloading it. The elde outputs low-impedance, balanced signals that can withstand even longer cable runs without damage. Impedance conversion and balancing is done passively via a transformer, which also provides galvanic isolation for less noise. Each channel has its own ground-lift switch to eliminate ground-loop hums. Elde is virtually indestructible thanks to its rugged, aluminum-and-steel casing.

Key Features
  • Balancing and impedance matching for guitars, basses, and keyboards
  • Two-channel design for stereo signals or two mono instruments
  • Eliminates ground-loop hum thanks to galvanic-transformer isolation
  • Fail-safe passive design, no power supply required
  • 2 x 1/4" inputs, each with thru-out for routing input signals to amplifiers
  • 2 Balanced XLR outputs
  • Pure, low-noise audio
  • Handles high-level inputs without distortion
  • Switchable 30 dB pad for extremely high-input levels (e.g. amplifier output)
  • Solid casing made of aluminum and steel
