Good for the Money

This is not the best mic you can buy. But, for the price, it will do a good job. And if you are thinking about purchasing this mic, cost is very important to you. I like that it has both a USB and XLR option for connection. That gives it flexibility. I use it with a 2021 M1 iMac.
I found that using the mic with just the USB connection while recording in Adobe Audition did not provide a very strong signal. While I could easily use Audition to boost the signal after recording, I find I get better results by connecting it via an XLR cable to a USB audio interface (I use a Steinberg USB interface).
When recording, I do hear faint interference noise (that could be my setup), but it is so low compared to my regular speaking voice properly on mic, that it is easy to remove the noise in Audition without degrading the quality of the voice.
So if you are just getting started or just do not have the money to spend on a more expensive mic, this one will do the trick.

Though I’d prefer a physical rather than touch mute button, this mic is incredible considering it includes an arm.
