Sachtler FSB 6 MK II Fluid Head with Sideload Mechanism

Fast to work with and lightweight at only 5.5 lb, the Sachtler FSB 6 MK II Fluid Head with Sideload Mechanism supports up to 17.6 lb of camera and accessories, and with its 15-steps of counterbalance adjustment, you can tune the head to work with the lightest of cameras. The head features a 75mm ball for quick leveling, and the independent drag adjustment and tilt locks permit you to adjust and move the head with precision to tune it to match the needs of your shot.

The head allows you to tilt forward so you can tilt straight down and tilt almost straight up as well. Pan and tilt have three independent drag settings, plus a zero setting for no drag at all. Borrowing from the aktiv system, the bubble level has been improved, not only is it illuminated, but now you can see the bubble level from the side, as well as when looking down on the head, for intuitive leveling from almost any position.

15-Step Counterbalance
The 15-step counterbalance settings let you adjust the head to neutralize the weight of cameras up to 17.6 lb, so the head remains in the position you set it and does not tilt forward of back because of the weight of your camera. This allows you to tune the head to match the weight of your cameras, allowing you to work equally well with extremely lightweight cameras as well as cameras weighing up to 17.6 lb. The zero setting provides you a completely free movement if you want.
Frictionless Leak-Proof Fluid Damping
Frictionless leak-proof fluid damping with 3 x levels of drag, for smooth pictures while panning, without jerks and vibrations. Identical across both horizontal and vertical planes, and allows complete disengagement of drag for fast panning
Quick Release
The FSB 6 MK II features Sachtler's Sideload mechanism, which allows you to pop the plate in above instead of trying to slide it in from the edge, and it boasts an exceptionally large sliding range of 4.7"
Sachtler ENG 75/2 D HD Aluminum Tripod Legs with 75mm Bowl

The Sachtler ENG 75/2 D HD Aluminum Tripod Legs with 75mm Bowl is a two stage tripod that supports up to 77 pounds. This item is for the legs with head fitting only and does not include available spreaders or rubber feet. The legs feature a working height range of 22 to 57.9"; adding available rubber feet will raise the working height to 61".

Each leg is independently adjustable in height and angle, allowing you to quickly rough in your position. The adjustments allow the tripod legs to work in oddly shaped spaces and remain stable on uneven surfaces. The fast action leg clamps are durable and lock the leg heights quickly and securely. The Leg Clip is a built-in, elastic strap that extends from inside one of the leg sections and wraps around the legs, keeping them closed during transport/storage.

The legs feature independent height adjustments and spread, which allow the legs to remain stable on rough terrain and uneven surfaces including stairs.
The dual spiked feet provide grip in soft surfaces, such as earth or sand, when the legs are at a normal height, or when you need to spread them wide for low angle shots.
An elastic strap with a transport clip is incorporated in one of the leg sections. This keeps the transport clip out of the way but easily available. Collapse the legs for transport, extend the clip/strap, and wrap it around the legs to keep them closed.
Sachtler Mid-Level Spreader 75 HD

The Mid-Level Spreader 75 HD from Sachtler is designed to work with the ENG 75/2 D HD aluminum tripod legs. The spreader stabilizes the entire camera system, ensuring stability in any shooting situation, including rough and uneven terrain.

Sachtler Rubber Feet 75 (Set of 3)

Suitable for use on a variety of surfaces, this set of three Rubber Feet from Sachtler is compatible with select 75mm tripods. These are spare or replacement items for the feet originally included with the tripods, and quickly snap onto the tripod legs to offer traction on various ground surfaces.

Compatibility
Fits all 75mm tripods except Flowtech, SOOM, system Ace M MS 1001, Ace L TT, Ace XL TT.
Sachtler Padded Bag for flowtech 75 or TT Tripod with FSB Fluid Head

With dimensions of 36.6 x 7.9 x 9.1", this Padded Bag from Sachtler is designed specifically for carrying a flowtech 75 or TT tripod equipped with an FSB fluid head. It is made with a high-density 900D fabric, which is both flame retardant and water-resistant to help ensure that your equipment stays safe. Additionally, layers of both open-cell and closed-cell foam are used in the construction to protect your gear against small bumps and shocks.

The bag opens via a full-length zipper found at the top, which allows for easy access while shooting. For transport, two straps on each side can be connected to an integrated handgrip for easy carrying. There are also small handles on each side of the bag where the zipper ends, and right next to them are D-rings that can be used to connect an optional shoulder strap. Finally, a clear plastic window on the outside allows you to insert a tag with your name or phone number for easy identification when travelling.

Sachtler FSB 6 MKII Tripod System Reviews

You get what you pay for!

I've been in the Manfrotto ecosystem for 20+ years. I always found a reason to "save" money. One day, I'd had enough. After all, a tripod system is arguably the best tool in a cinematographers kit. I made the decision to "treat" myself. I should have bought a better tripod system 20 years ago. Right out of the box, it's obvious what you get when you spend a little more. The legs, quick releases, fluid head, leveler, spreader, magnetic connection, etc, are all designed for the cinematographer! Do yourself a favor and spend the money.

Buy it once and be done with it

I recently purchased a Komodo X and needed another good tripod. I have 2 of the Aktiv 6 versions so I was very family with it. They just work. They are pricey but they are well worth the cost. The speed and ease of use, the strength of the overall system, the balance bubbles in multiple places, and how good the case is are what you will appreciate. I have had this out in windy conditions and never felt it would tip over. I tried the Ace system as I wanted something cheaper but it did not feel the same or work the same. Keep in mind this comes with the pointed feet that allow you to use it on virtually any terrain. It comes in a sturdy bag that makes it easy to carry. This is something that you buy it once and you have it the rest of your life and that is what makes it worth the cost. In the end it's actually cheaper and it will last you. There's a reason I have 3 of them now.
