If an Astra fixture's yoke pin locking knob impedes the mounting of your bracket, rotate it to a different position by loosening the hex screw at the top and turn and lock it into another location away from the bracket.

Note:
This mounting bracket is not required for the Astra IP Half, which has threaded attachment points built into the chassis.

Really sick and tired of the à la carte pricing litepanels does with their lights on every accessory. Here's another good example charging $110 for a piece of metal. I will not go down this path again with this company.

This mounting plate can be used on the Astra IP Half, as well as other Astra IP lights in the series and considered on of our key accessories for use for portable battery power in the field. It is intended to be used and attached only to the yoke’s rail if one wishes to have their battery  not mounted directly on the light – in which case only the respective Gold Mount or V-Mount bracket is needed. All brackets for the light come with a 3-pin XLR cable connection for the battery to power the light. The Thumb Screws and clips provided to mount to the rail provide a very strong and solid attachment and the small screws used to attach either the Gold Mount or V-Mount bracket to this plate or directly to the back of the light have been the same mounting screws we have used for decades for our Anton/Bauer battery brackets, reliable and secure. Lastly, you can simply adjust the position of the lock down knob on the yoke’s pin by loosening the hex screw and rotating it to an alternative position away from the bracket as it been designed for.
