Ubiquiti UXG-MAX Reviews

Good features, possibly challenging setup

The gateway has the features I was looking for, but the setup wasn't as easy as intended. We had an existing primarily Ubiquiti network that it was hoped the gateway would be a drop in replacement for. However, there is no UI for it, as it requires a controller, such as ui.com. Normally this would be fine, but when trying to replace an existing controller/gateway without breaking the network, it proved to be challenging. We did get a controller set up to manage it, but the adoption process wasn't working well. We ended up resetting the devices, and got them to adopt, and it all works nicely, but it was a challenging experience compared to expectations.

Terrible support. Don’t buy

I have tried to resolve a connectivity issue with my quantum fiber ISP for over a month without success. Ubiquiti’s support is the worst on the planet. Impossible to get anyone on the phone. Their team is obviously based overseas because I only receive responses in the middle of the night. Useless. I’m returning this product.

Is this a world (international) version? I want to make sure that this model isn't locked for US only...

There is no indication that the Ubiquiti Networks Gateway Max can only be used in the US. You'd just need to adapt the plug to whatever is used in your location.

Is this the UCG-Max-NS as listed on Ubiquity Site?
Asked by: Network
The Ubiquiti Networks Gateway Max (UXG-MAX), B&H # UBUXGMAX, is a different version and not the same as the Ubiquiti UCG-Max-NS. At this time, we do not sell the Ubiquiti UCG-Max-NS; however, we do offer the Ubiquiti Networks Cloud Gateway Max (UCG-MAX), B&H # UBUCGMAX, which is the same as the UCG-Max-NS, but it comes with a 512GB SSD drive pre-installed.
