There weren’t many options available so I ended up picking this up. The first time it worked out pretty well but by the 2nd time, it was giving all sorts of wrong readings. It was reading between 75°-85° in a cup of ice 110° out in the stainless steel, room temp sink. I’ve attached an image and you can see the temp difference between the TCS and this term. I ended up just using the TCS unit in the chemistry and it worked out but I’d love to have a secondary unit to double check my temps. The strangest part is that it’s not like it’s just off, it’s quite random in its reads. It’s not like it’s off X amt of degrees and I could just add/subtract to make it work out.

It's a kitchen meat thermometer

It's basically a rebranded kitchen meat thermometer. It works OK except if you get more than the probe at the end of the cable immersed in solution, the thermometer loses its mind. Then, you have to wait for everything to dry out until you can use it again. It also doesn't remember the settings from its previous use so you have to reset it every time. Since the default on startup is over 100ºF, it's an unnecessary pain.
