The ATEM 2 M/E Constellation UHD 4K Live Production Switcher adds UHD 4K capabilities and 12G-SDI ports to the familiar switcher construction of its predecessor. Designed for powerful live event UHD 4K switching, the unit features 20 individual 12G-SDI inputs that support 12G/3G/HD-SDI signals and deliver them to 12 12G-SDI outputs or webcam USB-C output. In addition, the switcher has a multiview output with up to 16 routable windows that can display inputs, keyed video, graphics, and stills from the media pool, as well as the program output. Each input connects to a built-in Fairlight audio mixer supporting up to 28 channels of audio.

The Blackmagic Design ATEM 2 M/E Constellation UHD 4K Live Production Switcher does allow for one program output to be down converted to 1080p when other outputs are set to UHD.

How much latency in an all BMD camera setup? - we
How much latency in an all BMD camera setup? - we have several bmpcc 4ks , 6ks, a studio and Ursa 12kLF - are we talking miiseconds or would there be a noticeable frame drop? We often route straight to the House for IMAG but with this switcher would be nice to send an aux out for the different ISOs as long as the Latency wasn't noticeable.
It is possible with many Blackmagic studio-type cameras that when genlocked and timed properly, the latency from optical to SDI out will be about a frame. This assumes many things, to include matching frame rates and resolutions, genlock to ATEM switcher through return video, and advance timing ahead of ATEM processing delay, which is usually around 10 lines. The display will often add more delay than the chain prior. So it's best to keep all frame rates and resolutions matching in all devices. Rate and resolution conversion always adds delay when working with the Blackmagic Design ATEM 2 M/E Constellation UHD 4K Live Production Switcher.
