Designed for film and television productions where large media files need to be shared between multiple users, the Cloud Store Max 48TB from Blackmagic Design is well-suited for post production applications. It has a capacity of 48TB, which is made up of a NVMe M.2 SSD that is preconfigured as 12 RAID 0 flash memory cards and able to handle 12K Blackmagic RAW digital cinema files. The Cloud Store Max is equipped with a single 100GbE Ethernet port and four 10GbE Ethernet ports for network access as well as a USB-C port that features a built-in network adapter. Use the HDMI and SDI outputs to monitor the status of your Cloud Store Max in real time.

Can 2 Cloudstore Max units be plugged into each other via their 100g ports such that a user would be able to mount both via SMB?

They can't be daisy chained and will show up as individual storage devices. The 100G Ethernet port is designed to be connected to an Ethernet switch for access by multiple systems.

Yes, Cat6 cable is sufficient for creating a strong and stable 10G connection from the Blackmagic Design 48TB Cloud Store Max. However, the distance that the cable will need to cover should also be considered when picking out your Ethernet cable.
