Capture UHD 4K footage for broadcast, sports, documentary, and other events with the CJ27ex7.3B IASE T 2/3" Portable 27x UHDxs Lens with 2x Zoom Extender from Canon. The CJ27ex7.3B IASE T is a 27x zoom lens for 2/3" format UHD 4K cameras that retains a compact, lightweight design while improving the zoom range and digital drive. The lens features a built-in 2x extender and an improved 16-bit servo drive unit. It is designed for high contrast, reduced flare and glare, and minimized chromatic aberration.
Wide Focal Range
The lens has a 7.3 to 197 focal length range, but when the 2x extender is enabled, it can zoom from 14.6 to 394mm for super close telephoto shots. At its widest end the lens has a 66.7° field of view, ensuring you capture all of the action.
High Optical Performance
As a UHDxs designated lens, the CJ27ex7.3B IASE T provides UHD 4K images with high-quality tonal gradation. It controls aberrations with precision, including color blurring and fringing. High contrast throughout the 4K resolution makes for a consistent image. Fluorite and UD glass are optimally arranged to increase image clarity around outlines for natural color reproduction. An internal lens barrel and special coatings prevent reflection for clean black reproduction free of ghosting and flaring. This produces high-tonality images with a high dynamic range and a wide color gamut.
New e-Xs V Servo Drive Unit
The improved e-Xs V drive unit features an angled 20-pin connector and a USB-C connector for a better user experience. The 20-pin angled connector ensures you can set your camera configuration down on a flat surface without disturbing your lens connection. The USB-C port is a new edition that allows you to save drive unit settings and load them into other lenses for consistency.
Remote and Virtual Support
A 16-bit value encoder achieves high-precision location detection for easier calibration when crafting virtual content. The 20-pin connector can be switched to a virtual terminal to output zoom, focus, and iris position information. A 12-pin serial communication port—when connected to a remote control-compatible camera—transmits focus, zoom, and iris position information and facilitates control from a distance.
ARIA Support
ARIA (Automatic Restoration of Illumination Attenuation) adjusts illumination for more evenly distributed light across the wide and telephoto ends of your lens. The camera-lens communication identifies the attached lens. Then, when zooming, the camera's gain is increased starting at the f-drop/ramping point. At the same time, Peripheral Illumination Correction prevents light fall0off from the center of the frame to the periphery.
