ZWO ASI174MM Overview

Capture stunning, high-resolution planetary images with the ASI174 USB 3.0 Mono Astronomy Camera from ZWO. Equipped with a Sony IMX174 CMOS sensor, the camera achieves 2.3MP resolution with low read noise. Sony's Exmor technology enables fast processing with low noise, and Pregius Global Shutter technology helps avoid focal plane distortion from wind and poor seeing conditions. The camera's 32ke full well capacity allows for long exposures and helps avoid overexposure issues.

2.3MP Monochrome Sensor
The ASI174MM features an 11.3 x 7.1mm Sony CMOS sensor with a resolution of 1936 x 1216. The 5.86µ pixels accommodate a full well capacity of 32ke. The sensor boasts a quantum efficiency of 83%.
Pregius Global Shutter
Pregius Global Shutter with analog memory permits the scanning of all pixels simultaneously. The Sony IMX174's global shutter function provides improved image quality by making sure images of moving objects avoid focal plane distortion. This is especially helpful when performing solar or lunar imaging. Bad seeing, wind, or movement can alter the image if the readout speed is not quick enough (< 30 fps).
Fast Processing with Exmor
Sony Exmor technology uses column-parallel A/D conversion for high-speed processing, low noise, and low power dissipation.
USB 3.0 & 256M DDR3 Memory
The ASI678MC is equipped with a USB 3.0 transmission interface and a built-in 256MB DDR3 cache to ensure stable and secure data transmission. Under long exposure, it effectively avoids frame dropping and greatly reduces the glow effect caused by slow reading speed.
10- & 12-Bit ADC
High-speed imaging with a maximum of 164.5 fps at 10-bit ADC and 128.2 fps at 12-bit ADC.
