Does this gooseneck have a black film on top? What is that for?
This gooseneck has no creaking sound. I'm not sure if it's totally due to the black film or otherwise, but it has no creaking at all.

Can you mount a EV RE27ND mic on this or would it be to heavy and what connector would you use ? Thanks
It works fine with the RE27, which is best used with the EV 309A shock mount.
