I wanted the best of both worlds when shooting handheld; a reliable EVF and a touchscreen to see camera information—with the option to touch autofocus. The extension cable made my setup possible. Rugged and nicely built cable by MD49.

Will this work for the FX6 top handle? to be able to have/mount the top handle off camera.

The MID49 EVF/LCD Extension Cable (Sony Burano, FX9, and FX6) is an extension for Sony's 40-pin monitor system found on recent cameras, including: Burano, FX9, FX6, FS7, FS7mkII, FS5, and FS5mkII. It only connects to the EVF/LCD and does not allow you to reposition the handle. Here's an optional offset adapter: the MID49 ARRI 3/8-16 to M4x20mm Offset Adapter (B&H # MI9CBLBK38M4), which is a grid of M4 holes spaced 20mm apart with a 3/8-16 screw and locating pins in ARRI spacing. The locating pins can be removed and repositioned if needed.

No, the MID49 EVF/LCD Extension Cable for Sony BURANO, FX9 & FX6 (1') does not adapt the Sony FX6 Full-Frame Cinema Camera EVF to the FX9.
