The Astra 2 3D Camera from Orbbec is a successor to the widely used Astra series products. It is based on Structured Light technology and has been upgraded with Orbbec's custom ASIC for high quality depth processing, IMU, and multi-camera sync. It features a baseline of 75mm, up to a 74.7 x 46.2° field of view, and resolutions of up to 1920 x 1080 x 800 at 5, 10, 15, and 30 fps. It operates using USB-C 3.2 Gen 1, which provides data and power.
The Astra 2 is easy to set up and operate with the Orbbec SDK and delivers accurate and reliable data for indoor operating. Also featured is a rolling shutter, plus wavelength sensitivity up to 850nm.
