This MID49 Low-Profile Tripod Screw Set includes two 1/4"-20 and two 3/8"-16 low-profile tripod screws for MID49 Baseline 15mm LW baseplates, as well as many third-party QR plates. These screws feature a slot with straight edges, suitable for flat and flat-milled screwdrivers, as well as a coin in a pinch. Each screw is machined so the screw threads do not travel the entire length of its shaft, creating what is known as a captive screw. The advantage of captive screws is that they hang loose in your mounting plate when not attached to a camera, so they are unlikely to unscrew and get lost during transport.
